Sonoma Sundays on the Plaza
This summer, Music in Place and the City of Sonoma invite you to soak up the sunshine, sip local wine, and dance to live music at the Sonoma Plaza Grinstead Amphitheater during Sonoma Sundays On the Plaza, a free concert series running June 7 through October 4, 2026.
Every Sunday from 2:00–5:00 PM, the Plaza comes alive with an exciting mix of musical styles: blues, soul, country, jazz, swing, Americana, mariachi, and more. With a fresh lineup of acclaimed artists, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Sonoma Sundays is all about creating opportunities for the community to come together through the power of live music. Music in Place is excited to bring an incredible range of artists to the Plaza this summer and continue building connections through music.
Sonoma Sundays are free and open to all, thanks to the generous support of the Sonoma Community Center, The Dawn Redwoods Trust, and the KHR McNeely Family Foundation.

Heidi Evelyn and the Savoy Sweethearts
Heidi Evelyn is the leading expert on vintage vocal jazz in the Bay Area. With sincerity and love for the music, she showcases her deep knowledge of authentic early jazz stylings in every performance. A passionate bandleader, she leads several different bands, and she sings in various styles ranging from ragtime and early blues to New Orleans traditional jazz and vintage swing dance music. She brings a unique sound to the stage, sharing the joy of vintage music with her audiences.
Heidi Evelyn has lead top tier ensembles at premier venues both in the Bay Area and New Orleans, featuring some of the finest musicians in the industry. Her powerful voice and stage presence provides an unforgettable experience that transports her audiences back in time.
About the Savoy Sweethearts: Experience the legacy of the great Harlem Savoy Ballroom with Heidi Evelyn’s Savoy Sweethearts! If you love to swing out to hot riffs or swoon to sweet melodies, the Savoy Sweethearts are the band for you. They uniquely capture the sound of the late 1930s and early 1940s, at the birth of the swing era and the lindy hop craze. The band features a roster of jazz masters with a passion for historical authenticity, powered by a true sense of rhythm and drive. The band features a blend of vintage arrangements and spontaneous creativity.
