Sonoma Sundays on the Plaza
This summer, Music in Place and the City of Sonoma invite you to soak up the sunshine, sip local wine, and dance to live music at the Sonoma Plaza Grinstead Amphitheater during Sonoma Sundays On the Plaza, a free concert series running June 7 through October 4, 2026.
Every Sunday from 2:00–5:00 PM, the Plaza comes alive with an exciting mix of musical styles: blues, soul, country, jazz, swing, Americana, mariachi, and more. With a fresh lineup of acclaimed artists, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Sonoma Sundays is all about creating opportunities for the community to come together through the power of live music. Music in Place is excited to bring an incredible range of artists to the Plaza this summer and continue building connections through music.
Sonoma Sundays are free and open to all, thanks to the generous support of the Sonoma Community Center, The Dawn Redwoods Trust, and the KHR McNeely Family Foundation.
Pack your picnic, bring your dancing shoes, and meet us on the Plaza!
This Week’s Line Up
Huney Knuckles
Featuring the left hand keyboard bass wizardry of Kevin Wong along with the indomitable pocket of Darian Gray (touring drummer for Booker T Jones for the past 14 years), the Huney Knuckles are undisputedly known as “the best band in the bay right now”, elevated to electifying heights by the lighting fast solos of virtuoso guitarist Brian Sheu along with the world class musicianship of grammy award winning saxophonist Tony Peebles. Fusing watertight grooves with high energy shreds that will make you want to jump out of your seat, this 4-piece instrumental powerhouse has made a huge noise in the local scene, serving up soulful compositions, mind bending solos, & insanely funky jams at the highest level possible.
