Welcome to the Scholarship Donation Page in honor of beloved Sonoma guitarist Davo Farrell. In looking back at Davo’s life, we believe that he took advantage of some particular opportunities during his formative years as a young musician, and this paid dividends throughout his life. We would like to “play this forward” by helping with the development of other young musicians in Sonoma and the North Bay.
We have a goal of raising $10,000 to offer a couple of years of musical support to young talented music students who would show promise with some outside help. We believe that, given financial assistance in the form of expert instruction, their skills could flourish as they develop mastery with their particular instrument, and this would offer further opportunities to them in the future that they would not have had otherwise. Furthermore, we believe that giving young musicians a chance to excel helps to create well-rounded citizens, leaders and community members.
